What is the Jurisdiction of the Probate Court?

The Probate Court jurisdiction includes estates, wills, administration, guardianship, and incapacity issues. We issue marriage licenses, firearms licenses, and United States Passports. Crisis intervention services are available through involuntary commitment and document preparation for temporary protective orders. Vital records including birth certificates and death certificates are filed in the Probate Court.
